Meteor Shower Guide App Reviews

This is a good list ... but us non-astronomist types need a simpler description of where to look to see the meteor showers (for example, "look to the southeast about 1 fist above the horizon, at about 2AM".

Excellent app by far! Would love to be able to bookmark locations, as I do move around for the different showers, having 2 homes one here and one there, in different time zones. Adding bookmarking to locations would save me from having to open another app to manually enter my location. Adding e-mail would be awesome too! BUT PLEASE FIX ALERTS.......OS5.1 It would be great to have this app on computer too! Not just iPhones, pads etc... Peace

I get an error message when I click alert. This was the reason I paid for this app. Very frustrating, I can find out this same info on the net. So this doesnt help. His the ALERT function.

Appears to be top notch only problem I see at current is sunset/sunrise times are reversed.

This is a pretty cool app with lots of info, but I think that there should be a button you can push that takes you to a link with a live camera showing meteor showers from that day if there is one going on at the time. Plus, if you search info for a past shower and push that button it will show a recording of that shower

This app gives the times of the shower peaks, but no indication of when the shower begins and ends. Some showers are visible for a week or more, others for just a few hours. Perhaps graphs showing the length and strength of each shower would be in order. Otherwise a nice app, easily four stars.

Crashes on 5S when hit "Alert" button. Gives confirmation then crashes.

I really like this app a lot. I love watching meteor showers and this helps me find the peak hours very quickly and easily. The only issue Ive run into so far is after looking at the specifics of a shower, I hit the alert button to add it to my calendar and the app crashes. When I check my calendar the info was saved making me happy. But the crashing part is a bit of a pain. Otherwise, great app and well worth the $0.99!

Everytime I tap on an event/date the app crashes on my 3GS. Needs a notification system and start and end date for every meteor shower.

I like what the app provides and have not had any crashes on my iPhone 5. What does concern me is that comet 209P/LINEARs shower was left out of the Catalog. Wonder what others have been left out? An updated Catalog would be nice.

Ive been using the guid for over a year now, and it very good. Id like to see maybe some kind of bell curve that gives an idea of the count of meteors around the peak time, but other than that the app works great!

Ive used this app for several years to plan viewing. Lots of information and the Moon interference guide is invaluable.

Cant get the app to show any dates for future showers. Every group has 00/00/00 for the date. Probably some setting I dont know about but its not terribly intuitive.

Informative application, keeps me apprised of upcoming meteor showers. Even allows for reminders to be added directly to your phone or device so you can remember to get outside and observe. Great technical support, answers to questions almost immediately! Highly recommended meteor shower app.!!

Its a great app dont get me wrong. But they should really update it. Its saying it says the sunrise is 7am but everything else I look at says 550ish
